  • 1 ½ tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring
  • ½ cup heavy cream (for ganache)
  • â…“ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  2. Combine Oreo cookie crumbs and melted butter until well mixed; press into the bottom of the prepared pan and bake for 8-10 minutes. Let cool.
  3. For the red velvet layer, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth, then mix in sour cream, eggs, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, and red food coloring. Pour over cooled crust.
  4. For the vanilla layer, mix cream cheese and sugar until smooth; add sour cream, eggs, and vanilla extract. Carefully pour over the red velvet layer.
  5. Bake at 325°F (163°C) for about 50–60 minutes until edges are set but center is slightly jiggly.
  6. Cool in the oven with door ajar for an hour; refrigerate for at least six hours or overnight.
  7. For ganache, heat heavy cream until hot but not boiling; pour over chocolate chips, stir until smooth.
  8. Pour ganache over cooled cheesecake; garnish with whipped cream and Oreo crumbs before serving.
