  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups very hot water

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. In another bowl, combine pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter (or vegetable oil), and vanilla until smooth. Add to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
