Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 ounces firm or extra-firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 0.25 cup hot sauce (buffalo-style)
  • Crisp romaine lettuce
  • Croutons
  • Caesar dressing

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu for 15–30 minutes using a tofu press or paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  2. Cut the pressed tofu into uniform 1-inch cubes and mix with cornstarch, soy sauce, avocado oil, paprika, and garlic powder in a medium bowl.
  3. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and cook the tofu cubes for about 5–7 minutes per side until crispy and golden.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt butter and whisk in hot sauce. Once the tofu is cooked, toss it gently in the buffalo sauce until evenly coated.
  5. Assemble the salad by arranging romaine lettuce in a bowl, adding croutons, drizzling with Caesar dressing, and topping with the buffalo tofu.
