  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 can (14 oz) tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (adjust to heat preference)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons plain yogurt
  • 2 garlic cloves, finely minced or grated

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine plain yogurt, lemon juice, garam masala, turmeric, cumin, smoked paprika, grated ginger, minced garlic, and salt.
  2. Add the chicken chunks into the marinade. Mix well until fully coated. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or up to overnight for deeper flavor.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter until melted. Add finely chopped onion; sauté until translucent.
  4. Add marinated chicken pieces to the skillet. Cook until browned on all sides.
  5. Stir in tomato paste and cook for another minute. Pour in tomato puree and mix well; allow it to simmer for about 5 minutes.
  6. Lower heat and add heavy cream along with chili powder; stir until combined. Season with salt and sugar as needed.
  7. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, plain yogurt, minced garlic cloves, and lemon juice. Mix well until smooth; adjust seasoning if necessary.
